NOAH has made the transition to virtual organizing -- with task forces, membership meetings, and major Public events. There has been a LOT happening in spite of the COVID lockdown in 2020 and into 2021:

Task forces, membership meetings, our "Public Lamentation," a virtual Public Meeting with the Mayor and 700 people,

Engaging the state legislature, pushing Metro Schools' decision-makers, impacting the Mayor's plans for affordable housing, calling for changes in Metro police policy,

Building relationships with our sister organizations CALEB in Chattanooga and MICAH in Memphis, and more.

What makes all this happen? Organized people AND organized money!
There are 62 congregations, unions, and other groups that are members of NOAH (including GNUUC) – building the power of organized people to make a difference.

Normally, NOAH would now be preparing for our May Fundraising Banquet – organizing money! But even though vaccinations are increasing, COVID still prevents us from holding such a fundraiser. In addition, we are in a "pause" period for two of our major grants, which means we have to become even more self-sufficient financially!

But we have an OPPORTUNITY to replace this fundraising event!

On May 5 and 6, nonprofits throughout Middle Tennessee will be participating in The Big Payback, a 24-hour, online giving event sponsored by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Nonprofits can earn cash prizes by having the most donors in a certain time block, so even small donations could make a big difference.
