Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The deadline to register to vote before the November 5 election is October 7.
The offices up for election for Metro Nashville include:
US President
US Senate
US House, Districts 5, 6, 7
All State House seats (Nashville, D50-D56 & D58-D60)
Even numbered senate seats (Nashville, Districts 18 and 20)

How to Qualify for Absentee Voting
To vote Absentee/By Mail, a registered voter must fall under one of these categories:
You are sixty (60) years of age or older.
You are hospitalized, ill, or physically disabled and unable to appear at your polling place to vote.
You are a caretaker of a hospitalized, ill, or physically disabled person.
You will be outside Davidson County during the Early Voting period and all day on Election Day.
You or your spouse are a full-time student at an accredited college or university outside Davidson County.
You have a physical disability and an inaccessible polling place.
You reside in a nursing home, assisted living facility or home for the aged outside Davidson County.
You are a candidate for office in the election.
You will be unable to vote in person due to jury duty.
You will be serving as an Election Day official or are a member or employee of the Davidson County Election Commission.
You are observing a religious holiday that prevents you from voting in person during the Early Voting period and on Election Day.
You or your spouse possess a valid commercial drivers license (CDL) or Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card and you will be working outside the state or county of registration during the open hours of early voting and Election Day and have no specific out-of-county or out-of-state address to which mail may be sent or received during such time.

You are on the permanent absentee list.

Other Important Notes about Absentee Voting:
Submit your absentee ballot request as soon as possible, by email, fax, or snail mail. If you don’t have access to a printer, you can also call 615-862-8815 to have an absentee ballot request form mailed to you.
Absentee ballots must be submitted by mail, not dropped off at the Election Commission.
You can drop your ballot off at the downtown Nashville Post Office (901 Broadway).
Mail your ballot as soon as possible so it arrives on time! All ballots must arrive by the end of Election Day – November 5.
