Tue., June 18: 6:30 PM: NOAH Banquet, Keynote Speaker Dr. Michael Eric Dyson! “A Decade of Justice: Building a Legacy and Charting a Way Forward”
Nashville Organized for Action and Hope (NOAH) is celebrating ten years of building community and power in Nashville. Our work has transformed communities in our city by funding more affordable housing, supporting meaningful social emotional support in schools, getting mental health care in place for folks otherwise facing criminal charges, and building economic power for Nashville's workers. How did we do this? Through the time and resources of people like YOU!
Join us for a fun-filled night to commemorate a decade of NOAH on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Boone Convocation Center on the campus of Trevecca Nazarene University, 333 Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville TN 37210. The theme is "A Decade of Justice: Building a Legacy and Charting a Way Forward." We are hosting our biggest celebration yet, with dinner (including a vegan option) and live music, plus a special presentation from our keynote speaker Dr. Michael Eric Dyson!
Author of 25 books, including seven New York Times best-sellers, Dr. Dyson is a global academic, ordained Baptist minister, media personality, and winner of numerous prestigious awards and accolades, including the 2020 Langston Hughes Medal, an American Book Award, a Southern Book Prize, and two NAACP Image Awards. Dyson is currently a Centennial and Distinguished University Professor in the College of Arts and Science and The Divinity School at Vanderbilt University.
Dyson’s incisive, passionate, and provocative commentary on race, politics, social justice, and culture have been described as searing cries for social justice that chart a way forward for restoration and redemption. We are thrilled to have him give the keynote address at our 10th-anniversary banquet! Learn more about Dr. Dyson at www.michaelericdyson.com.
