Our June 2023 Share the Plate Partner is The Tennessee Equality Project

The Tennessee Equality Project Foundation provides educational and awareness programming in Tennessee to advance the inclusion and equality of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people in our state. They monitor and analyze state legislation related to the LGBTQ community, conduct voter registration, advocacy training, sensitivity training, and work against bullying. They also educate the public about state preemption of local government.

TEP Foundation lists mental health providers in Tennessee who do not discriminate based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and who

provide affirmative services, in regard to sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. The "Counseling Discrimination Law" passed in 2016 highlights the need for counselors, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health providers who engage in inclusive and affirmative practices.

Also, the TEP Foundation holds Boro Pride in Murfreesboro annually, which in recent years has attracted over 4000 participants.
