Join Us for the MLK Day January 2020

Traditionally we have started at the Jefferson Street Baptist Church (2708 Jefferson Street,Nashville, TN 37208) and marched to the TSU Gentry Center. This is a short, easy walk that is less than one mile. We then walk back to the Jefferson Street Subway for lunch. This year we will not go into the convocation after the march; we will go directly to lunch.

All all welcome! This is a very family-friendly event.

Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent.

Youth in the Youth Group (13 and over) can be dropped off and picked up (see where below). You must have a signed permission slip (see Kristin).

If you have a "Standing on the Side of Love" T-shirt, you can wear it.

Schedule:

9:30 AM: Park and make your way to Jefferson Street Baptist church.

Last year we parked at the Hadley Park parking lot, which is next to the Hadley Park Library. (They block off the road close to the march, including the Jefferson Street exit, if you get too close to 10 AM.)  Youth Parents - if you are dropping off you must directly hand off your child to Kristin or Nathanael at 9:30 AM at Hadley Park parking lot. Do not leave child unattended.

10:00 AM: March starts.

11:00 AM: The Convocation starts at the TSU Gentry Complex. This year we will not attend the convocation; we will go directly to lunch.

11:15 AM: Walk back to the Subway / Seafood Sensations on Jefferson Street and eat lunch. 

by NOON: Youth Parents pickup at the Subway and/or Seafood Sensations (next to the Subway in the same lot).
