What Does Thriving Look Like in Nashville?
NOAH Annual Public Meeting (Virtual) on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 3:00pm
You are invited to NOAH’s Annual Public Meeting! This meeting is a major opportunity for our civic engagement. We’ll get commitments on our issues from decision-makers, assess progress on past commitments, and position ourselves to make a powerful difference in the New Year. We have a great deal to celebrate this year, with the next steps to take as we move toward a just city, focusing on education, criminal justice, affordable housing, and economic equity and jobs. (To see some of our "wins" in the Metro Budget, go to https://www.noahtn.org/budget_successes.) Once again this year, our meeting will be virtual, on Zoom and Facebook Live.
Mayor Cooper, General Sessions Judge Rachel Bell, MNPS School Board Chair Christiane Buggs, and Councilmember Sandra Sepulveda will be attending to address:
increasing transparency so that there's more public accountability
implementing policies and practices to eliminate racial disparities
the reallocation of funds to move toward equity.
Our meeting will also include video testimonials from Nashvillians who have been impacted by affordable housing, racial inequities in education, job insecurity, cash bail reform, and other social justice issues.
Having a good turnout is critical for this meeting! Register in advance for this Zoom meeting:
After registering, you will get an email with info about joining the meeting.
You can also participate in this meeting virtually via a Facebook Live event.
