Rev. Dr. Michelle Pederson is one of GNUUC’s affiliated community ministers. She is a self-employed Spiritual Director at Spirit Space Nashville (www.spiritspacenashville.com). As a Spiritual Director, Rev. Michelle accompanies people as they attend to their inner, spiritual life.  She trained for Spiritual Direction at the Hesychia School of Spiritual Direction in Tucson, AZ.  Rev. Michelle received a Master of Divinity degree from Meadville Lombard Theological school and was ordained by GNUUC in 2016.  Previously, earned a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Loyola University of Chicago.  As a sociologist, Michelle conduced social science research into intimate partner violence and then religious research for a mainline denomination.  She is a member of Spiritual Directors International, the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association and the Unitarian Universalist Society for Community Ministries.
