Sunday, October 31 is going to be a spectacular Sunday for us to gather together, in-person, outdoors, at GNUUC at 11 a.m. CT. (Rain date: November 7, at 10 AM)

All Souls Day and Samhain

Rev Denise will lead us in gathering in the spirit of the season. (Harvest, Halloween, Samhain, All Souls--so much to celebrate!)

Fall Fest

Fall Fest will offer games and activities for all ages!

Virtual Quilt Squares

Make a quilt square that can be digitized for our virtual quilt. We’ll have all the supplies you need!

Art Tables

Make tissue paper flowers. Decorate masks. Paint skeleton rocks. Make pipe cleaner skeletons. And more!

Trunk or Treat!

Those with cars: Please bring individually wrapped candy. You are welcome to just have a bowl with candy (kids will appreciate you!), or have fun with it or decorate your trunk to win a prize!

Dress in costume: Anyone dressed in costume (adult or youth), can go “trunk or treating” between participating cars in the parking lot. 

Best Trunk or Treat Prize: Participants will vote on the best trunk or treat decorations and the winning car will get a prize!

Haunted Playground

Solve a mystery in the Haunted Playground. If you can find all the clues and guess who did it, you can win a prize!

Room In The Inn (RITI) Service Project

We’ll be making snack bags for Room In The Inn (RITI) as part of our 5th Sunday Service Project. The snack bags will be provided to the RITI community members. They give out 150-175 each week. Creating snack packs is a simple way to provide practical help to an individual experiencing homelessness. 

We will have a table set up with notecards you can write an encouraging note on to include in the pack as well.

Email gnuuc@gnuuc.org items you are able to bring, plus quantity so Kris T can make sure we have a variety of items.

Shopping List:

• Gallon-sized Ziplock bags

• Utensil packs

• Water bottles

• Hand sanitizing wipes

• Snacks - Proteins (include 3)

  • Small cans or package of tuna or chicken

  • Vienna sausages

  • Beanie weenies

  • Tuna or chicken salad kits

  • Beef jerky

  • Protein bars

  • Protein shakes

  • Nuts

• Snacks - Other (include 4-5)

  • Chips

  • Cookies or Chewy bars

  • Granola bars

  • Pack of sandwich crackers (peanut butter or cheese)

  • Fruit Cup

  • Snack Cakes

  • Raisins or other dried fruits

  • Fruit leather or fruit snacks

Stay for lunch! We’ll be ordering box lunches from Jimmy Johns.

Lunch will be $10 per box and include sandwich, chips, bottled water, and cookie.
