Join us for a virtual Family Service! The Soul Matters theme this month is Liberation. This Sunday we will be exploring the path to liberation. Encourage your children to attend - this service has more interactive elements and should be fun for the all ages.

Part of being liberated is addressing our fears. Think about the following before the service:

Who taught your greatest fear? (Notice how different this question is from “What caused it?” or “When did it arise?”)

Who in your family of origin shares your greatest fear? What did you learn from the way they dealt with it?

Do you ever feel like you are spending your days on the ends of strings that somebody else pulls? Do you ever fear you are playing a role others expect of you?

What is the scariest thing about being a youth, or parent, or grandparent, or single person these days? What is a fear of your generation that other generations just don’t seem to understand?

Do you fear making mistakes? How have your fears changed from just two years ago? What was your scariest moment of telling the truth?

Then think about what fears you would want to work on overcoming. What would you put on your “Liberation of Fear” list?
