About L-Club: The L-Club was originally founded as a way for liberal members to meet to discuss liberal topics without upsetting the conservative element in Hillsboro Presbyterian Church.  It morphed so that today the attendees are from a broad spectrum of the community. Pam Kidd makes the arrangements; there is no treasury, no dues.  The meetings begin with a potluck. Over the years the L-Club has brought interesting people from the community, people involved in the civil rights movement, public officials, candidates, etc., and has taken the group to some places, as well as having one meeting a year collecting toys for the underprivileged. It has enabled many people to gain insight into history, civil rights, government and candidates.
