More Changes in Recycling in Metro Nashville

There have been a few minor changes to the recycling information requiring a new chart. Empty aerosols are not recyclable; partially filled should not be discarded in the trash but taken to a hazardous waste facility. The best thing which has happened is a detailed guide which answers a lot of your questions about recycling which I think no one ever explained for us. It is on the recycling web site and has to be downloaded. It is several pages long. Also if you have wondered about which plastic bags can be recycled, Publix now tells you. When you are at the Metro Recycling site, click on Styrofoam. Yes, Styrofoam. You will see there which plastic bags Publix accepts, which probably is the same as what other vicinity grocery stores accept. Publix no longer accepts bulk Styrofoam.
