JUST MERCY - Movie and 60 Minutes program
As we attempt to eliminate racism and how it affects people of color, the movie "Just Mercy" is being made more available to enable people to view it. The movie version starts Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan. A young Black attorney graduates Harvard and moves to Alabama to provide legal advice to people who need assistance. Walter McMillian has been on death row for 15 months.
The movie is based on Bryan Stevenson’s 2014 New York Times best-selling memoir, “Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption.”
The movie differs a little from the True Story from the archives of 60 Minutes, which you may also want to view.
