NOAH Public Meetings With School Board Candidates July 2020
Only when Black Lives truly Matter in Metro Nashville Public Schools, will there be racial equity in schools, all schools providing a high-quality education. NOAH is hosting virtual meetings in July, to introduce the public to the candidates for School Board. Register Here. Candidates will be asked to address issues facing MNPS, in advance of School Board elections on August 6.
The school board represents the public's voice in public education, providing oversight for what the public schools need and what the community wants. An effective school board plays an important watchdog role in keeping your local school on track and setting policies that affect your community, your schools, and your children. Does the school board represent your interests in local public education? Do black childrens’ lives matter in MNPS?
