Fired Up For Democracy: NOAH’s 2nd Annual Banquet!

  • Meharry Medical College 1011 21st Avenue North Nashville, TN, 37208 United States (map)

Join with others from GNUUC at this annual celebration and fundraiser for NOAH. Five people have already signed up, but we’d like to fill a table, if possible. The banquet will be held on Thursday, May 11, 6:00 PM, at the Cal Turner Family Center (1011 – 21st Ave North) at Meharry Medical College (same location as last year).  We will be celebrating our work together and raising the resources to continue and expand.  NOAH now involves 63 congregations, labor unions, and community organizations, building the power for ordinary people to take action on decisions that affect their lives every day.  Tickets are $75 for the banquet and $125 for the banquet and a reception with our speaker.

This year’s speaker will be Stefanie Brown James, a community strategist, civic engagement expert, and media commentator. Ms. Brown James served as theNational African American Vote Director for President Obama’s 2012 election cycle. A dynamic speaker, she is a founding partner of Vestige Strategies, LLC, a Washington, DC-based public affairs firm that specializes in grassroots community and civic engagement strategies.

Organizations, individuals, and businesses are also encouraged to buy an ad in the program for the banquet. Individuals may also be listed in the program as friends of NOAH for a donation of any amount.

Please contact Nancy C. to buy tickets or to purchase an ad.
