Sun., Aug. 18, 1 PM: Roger Wiesmeyer Fundraiser Concert ($20 at door, kids and teens free)

Join us for an interactive Inter-generational House Concert hosted by our own Roger Wiesmeyer.

From Roger:
I'm excited to share music I love with people I love. This is the first recital that I've played since summer of 2019. So much has changed in five years hasn't it? Music is still here and my relationship to it has shifted A LOT! Please come out and bring your friends of all ages to explore music and our relationship with it in a friendly,  non-didactic atmosphere. After all,  even though I've gotten to be with music for a big chunk  of my life, I don't know any more about it than you do.

Our musical playground will include Bach(of course!), Mozart(duh!) and Brahms(no duh!).

Come curious!

This is a fundraiser concert and is open to the public. Donations at the door are $20. Teens and kids are free.

If you purchased a ticket at the Auction, you will be on a prepaid list.

TICKETS & WEBSITE

Auction Website: Purchase Tickets and View Catalog
Purchasing Tickets online does not require a credit card - just choose the option: Write a check to GNUUC and put "Auction" in the memo.

Tickets can also be purchased onsite, however, there is usually a bottleneck - just a forewarning!

CAN’T MAKE THE AUCTION?

The Auction is our largest fundraiser of the year. We count on your participation to make this a successful event. Our fundraising goal is $5,200!

If you can't make the Auction date/time:

— Consider using a Proxy bidder.
Peruse the online auction catalog and your proxy can make bids for you. You will be sent an invoice after the Auction, which you can pay online. Need help or a proxy? Contact Kristin at kristin.reveal@gnuuc.org.

— Some "Intermission" concerts/events can also be purchased online on Sunday.
There are upcoming concerts and events that are discounted if you purchase tickets at the Auction.

— Or consider making a donation to Greater Nashville UU with "Auction" in the memo.
Go to the Donate page at our website and choose "Give to the Auction" in the box.

WE STILL NEED SOME FOOD DONATIONS

Sat., Mar. 30, 7PM: Palmer Lecture featuring Olivia Hill, Nashville Council Member-at-Large

Our guest speaker for this year’s lecture, to be hosted on Saturday, January 20 at 7 p.m., is Olivia Hill, the first openly transgender elected official in Tennessee. Council Member-at-Large, Olivia Hill was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. A product of Metro public schools, Olivia’s roots are planted firmly in this city she loves. She has seen firsthand the kindness, strength, and creativity demonstrated by her fellow Nashvillians. She knows the vast potential this city offers.

The annual Robert C. Palmer Lecture on Human Rights was established by the church’s Board of Directors in 1983 to honor the legacy and service of the Rev. Robert Palmer, our first called minister. Rev. Palmer was a social activist on many fronts, including the United Nations, nuclear disarmament, and the Civil Rights Movement.
