Sun., Apr. 5, 11 AM: Multi-Generational Sunday Service, Introduction to Soul Matters Theme: "Embracing Possibility” (Hybrid)
This Sunday we gather for our First Sunday interactive, multi-generational service as we explore the Soul Matters theme of Embracing Possibility — joining more than 140 UU congregations across the country in asking: "What feels possible for you — or for us — that didn't feel possible a year ago?"
April is a month that knows something about possibility. The crocus pushes through the last of the cold. Something that looked finished turns out to be just resting. Our Christian friends celebrate Easter this morning — and whatever your relationship to that story, its heartbeat is one we recognize: that endings are not always the end.
This Sunday we'll also launch our annual Pledge Drive for the 2026-27 fiscal year. Come ready to reflect, share, and invest in the community that holds your roots.
We hope to see you Sunday — in person or online.
This hybrid service will be in the Sanctuary at Greater Nashville UU Congregation, as well as on Zoom. See How to Join a Virtual Service at GNUUC.
After the service, join us for a potluck lunch.

Sat., Mar. 7, 2 -5 PM: Spoken Word Poetry Workshop
Date & Time: Saturday, March 7, 2:oo - 5:00 PM
Facilitator: Kayla Z.
Cookies Provided!
RSVP: to Kayla, or just show up!
Please join us for a Spoken Word Poetry Workshop! I am so excited to be facilitating this event as an opportunity for healing and joy in the face of everything that is going on in the world and in our personal lives.
If you're interested in my "why" behind hosting this event, please check out this TED Talk! While short for a TED Talk, it is about 13 minutes long, fair warning! :) I think it is worth the watch, though, otherwise I would not have shared it with you.
Please do not think that you have to be "good at writing" or "good at poetry" or "creative" to attend! In fact, I am designing this afternoon to be very friendly to people who have never explored Spoken Word Poetry as an art form before!
We will do the following during our time together:
We will create a very brief covenant to create a safe space for all.
We will view some examples of Spoken Word and discuss what about them makes them "good."
We will have time to work on our own craft (poetry), pencils, pens, highlighters, paper and prompts provided!
We will have a time for those who *want* to share to share at the end. Participants are encouraged to share what they have created, but under no circumstances should you feel that this is a requirement!
The primary goal of our time together will be to explore an art form (Spoken Word Poetry) that you may or may not have considered as art before. This workshop will set you up with the tools you need to be able to craft your own writing, and hopefully that is something you can take with you to play with in the future!
If you could let me know ahead of time if you plan on coming, that will help me know how many copies of things to have on hand! :) If you decide to come last minute, no worries, there will be extra!
