Come join with others from GNUUC as NOAH holds its fourth annual banquet on Thursday, May 9, at 6:30pm at the Music City Center (201 5th Ave S). We will be celebrating our work together and raising the resources to continue and expand. This year’s theme is Hearts Ablaze for Justice. Scheduled speakers are Jim Wallis (Sojourners) and Dr. Stacy Spencer, president of MICAH (Memphis Gamaliel affiliate). Musical guest will be Jason Eskridge. Tickets are $75 for the banquet and $125 for the banquet and a reception with our speakers. We have one free banquet ticket available! First come, first served.
Jim Wallis is a New York Times bestselling author, public theologian, speaker, and international commentator on ethics and public life. He served on President Obama's White House Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and was former vice chair of and currently serves on the Global Agenda Council on Values of the World Economic Forum. He is president and founder of Sojourners, where he is also editor-in-chief of Sojourners. He is the author of 12 books. His most recent book, America's Original Sin: Racism, White Privilege, and the Bridge to a New America, was released in January 2016.
The banquet is NOAH’s biggest fundraiser each year, so please plan to attend. If you can’t make it yourself, consider sponsoring someone else to attend.
Please see Nancy Colowick or Doug Luckes to buy tickets.
