Pledge 2022-2023: Holding Space for the Future. Pledge Cards Due.

Request for Your Pledge for 2022-2023 to GNUUC

Dear Members and Friends,

What a year it has been for Greater Nashville: A new minister, new twists in the progression of the pandemic, new challenges with our buildings, and the old-but-new-again experience of meeting in our sanctuary, as well as online, for worship. Through all of this, your financial gifts and volunteer work have allowed the congregation to provide weekly services, religious education for youth, and other programming, while creating and sustaining connections old and new. Thank you for the gifts of your presence and your support.

As we do each spring, we are planning our budget for the next fiscal year (July 1,2022 through June 30, 2023) and asking you to make a pledge, your personal commitment to the financial health of the congregation.

The coming church year promises to be full: We are repairing and refurbishing our buildings, beautifying our outdoor spaces, and looking forward to expanded programming as the pandemic moves into a less prominent place in our lives. Because our members are generous with their time, talents, and financial support, our shared spaces will continue to be sanctuary, home base, classroom and workshop as we “do church” – practicing the art of being human together and working toward a world with more justice, more peace, and more love.

In two years, we will be marking the 30th anniversary of the founding of Greater Nashville UU Congregation. Now is a good time to begin celebrating the congregation’s history, nurturing connections in the present, and considering how we can hold this generous, life-giving space for those to come. Will you join in as we continue to grow and thrive while emerging from the pandemic and discovering how we and the world around us have changed? Will you help us explore how we can best serve each other and the world? Let’s dream of what might be next year, in five years, in ten, maybe even over the next 30 years, and let’s do it together.

Our lives have been radically altered in the last few years; they are changing still as we emerge from our years of isolation. This is still a time of great uncertainty for many of us. Please pledge what you can, knowing that if your circumstances change, you can adjust your pledge. If you can give more, do so, knowing that you are contributing more in a time when others can contribute less.

Make your commitment to our future together at Greater Nashville Unitarian Universalist Congregation by visiting https://www.nashvilleuu.org/pledge and pledging as generously as you are able.

Thank you.
