THIS Saturday, September 5: CRE: First In-Person Worship & Activities

Children’s RE First In-Person Worship & Activities

This Saturday, September 5, all Children’s RE classes will be meeting in-person at Greater Nashville UU for an outdoor activities, worship, and play. If your family would like to participate in this event virtually, just let Kristin R. know and we can make that happen.

For this event we will be preparing for and having our own water communion! Plus, we will be taking turns weeding the playground and transplanting trees.

Each Family will be assigned a “Family Pod” drawn in chalk. Family pods will at least 6 feet apart.

Talk with your children and youth about social distancing and wearing masks before you arrive.

To participate, you must pre-register for this Saturday, Sept 5 CRE event.

Plus, your children must be registered for Children’s RE.

Class starts at 10 AM. We should be done by 11:30 AM. If it rains, we will meet via Zoom. Look for text from Kristin. If you are bringing a lot of stuff (see below), you might come early to set up your family pod.

If you would like to see the details of this event, how we are preparing for it, and what is going to happen, email Kristin R. and she can send you the link. It is also on Slack.

Please bring the following:

  • Masks - a mask must be worn at all times, indoors and outdoors

  • A container of water. It could be from travels, or a local creek, or the tap. We’ll have extras if you forget.

  • Lawn chairs*, if you have them

  • A card table* for your family pod, if you have one

  • Garden gloves and shovels - we will be weeding the playground

  • Hula hoops, jump ropes, and other “stationary activities” kids can do while in their family pods and waiting for their turn in playground.

* If you have these items, let Kristin know so that she can keep inventory of what we need.
