Look for the Girl Scout table during lunch this Sunday, January 12. Most cookies are $3.50 per box, except for the girl scout s’mores and toffee-tastic, which are $5 per box. Girl Scouts will be taking pre-orders on Sunday. Cookies arrive in mid-February, by Valentine’s Day! See you Sunday!

December 1, 2019, Potluck: Donate to Candy for the Incarcerated

Rev. Cynthia Stewart is collecting money or Christmas bags for the 800 incarcerated men at DeBerry Special Needs prison here in Nashville, where those who have severe medical and sometimes end of life needs are sent. The prison ministry she works for is already working on providing other things like shampoo, socks, and beanies, but would like some help purchasing goodies to go in the bag. Would you consider donating $5 or $10 during the pot luck lunch on December 1? Or you can make a donation through GoFundMe at Candy for the Incarcerated.

Donate items for Room in the Inn lunches! Please bring your items on November 2, 2019, during the game night. Click the link for a list of needed items. Email Kristin what you decide to bring and she will update the “needed” list. On the November 2 Game Night, we will form an assembly line to build all 40 lunches needed for the season. Room In The Inn: To Volunteer Contact Jesse Spencer-Smith

One of the ways Greater Nashville UU provides sanctuary to our community is through the Room In The Inn Winter Shelter Program. Room In The Inn’s Winter Shelter program runs from November through March each year, in coordination with almost 200 congregations throughout Middle Tennessee. The program provides safe shelter, warm meals, and fellowship for our neighbors struggling with homelessness during the coldest months of the year.
